Vehicles in Germany's City Found Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Police reported they were contacted by a individual who noticed a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Around 50 vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they announced in a release.

Police report they were alerted late on Wednesday night, when a resident discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish liquid.

The substance had been drawn in the shape of a banned symbol, they added.

Police then located many other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are banned in Germany under legislation banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Police report initial examinations suggest the substance was probably blood from a person.

"At present there remains no indication as to its origin; investigators are presently not informed of any harm in relation with the event," they commented.

Municipal representatives said they were working "to solve the incident" and have requested to the public for tips.

An important political figure commented the vandalism rendered him without words and required to be resolved promptly.

"This incident affects the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he stated on social media, recalling the killing of nine victims by a assailant focusing on individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
